Roofing Installation Milford CT 06460

Installing a roof on the shoreline is a bit different than inland.  Following Hurricane Sandy, many people have found that out the hard way, with many of their roof shingles lettering their lawn, and leaks throughout their homes.  Spending alot of time in Milford lately, walking through neighborhoods, I have seen personally seen what a difference proper use of materials, and proper installation techniques can have.
On the wrapper of every shingle manufacturer's product is the basic ruide of "Roofing for Dummies."  Not one time, except for when I sit the guys down personally, have I ever seen these instructions read.  For wind coverage of 110 MPH there is a simple 6 nail pattern, with each nail separated by 6 inches, through the laminate portion of the shingle.  Once you have properly nailed the shingle, with the head of the nail flush with the shingle, you are now securing the shingle, and the one below it.  Once the shingles seal, it is now secured in 3 places.  On every roof that we have estimated and inspected that has damage, the shingles are falling because of improper installation.

99% of all roof failures are workmanship related.  Along the shoreline in Milford Connecticut 06460 building code mandates the use of 6 nails per shingle, as well as the proper seal starter so that the perimeter edge is sealed down around the entire roof.  Water and ice barrier is used at a minimum in all valleys and gutter eaves.
MAC Milford Roofing COntractor goes above and beyond in our installation, in both use of materials, and workmanship standards.  We install to GAF standard, using all GAF Materials.  Going above and beyond, with water and ice barrier along the rake edges to prevent wind driven rain, water and ice barrier used entirely on all low slope roofs of a 4/12 pitch or less, use of the best perimeter metals, and quality workmanship.  Our roofs come with a 50 year warranty, from GAF, only because we are a factory trained roofing contractor.  Just because it says on the wrapper "Life Time Warranty" you must use a GAF Licensed Contractor who can register your warranty for you.

Our specialty is insurance related roofing installations.  We would love to assist you in your claim from Hurricane Sandy, and with the mention of this blog post will give you $500.00 of your new roof.  We are simple to work with, file a claim, and we will get you the money.  Following such a horrific loss of property it will be nice to have someone deal with the bureaucracy of the insurance industry for you.  All estimates are free.
